Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor and her boyfriend Shikar Pahariya recently visited the Tirupati temple to commemorate the 61st birth anniversary of her late mother, celebrated Indian actor Sridevi. Kapoor has continued her mother's personal beliefs and traditions by making an annual pilgrimage to the temple on Sridevi's birth anniversary. Taking to Instagram, she posted three pictures in honor of her mother's birth anniversary on Tuesday.
Kapoor shares Instagram tribute to Sridevi
In a series of pictures, the first image showed the steps leading to the Tirupati temple, indicating that Kapoor continued her tradition of climbing to the temple on foot. The second photo was an unseen childhood picture of Kapoor with Sridevi, where they both look adorable together. The third image showcased Kapoor's attire for her temple visit. Fans remembered Sridevi by leaving comments in the section.
Kapoor, Pahariya perform 'dandvat pranam' at temple
A video circulating on social media showed Kapoor and Pahariya at the Tirupati temple. Kapoor was seen wearing a yellow silk saree with a turquoise blouse adorned with golden prints and a yellow border, complemented by golden earrings, a necklace, and a kamarband (waist bracelet). Pahariya was seen wearing a veshti as he and Kapoor performed a dandvat pranam in front of the idol.

Khushi Kapoor and Boney Kapoor remember Sridevi
Kapoor's younger sister and actor Khushi Kapoor also commemorated their mother's birth anniversary by sharing a childhood photo featuring herself, Kapoor, and Sridevi on Instagram Stories. Their father and producer Boney Kapoor posted a picture of Sridevi from her 2012 film English Vinglish with the caption "Happy birthday jaan." Sridevi captivated audiences with performances in films like Chandni, Mr India, and English Vinglish. She passed away in 2018 due to a drowning accident.
