'War 2': Hrithik's entry scene features sword fight in monastery
The much-awaited sequel to Yash Raj Films's (YRF) Spy Universe, War 2, is set to hit the screens a year from now. The film will feature Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani in lead roles. While the makers kept the plot details and shooting schedule under tight wraps, they have now revealed that Roshan's entry scene will be a sword fight with a villain in a Japanese monastery, reportedly.
Scene shot at YRF Studios in Mumbai
Per the Bollywood Hungama report, an insider shared that the scene was filmed in March at a massive set constructed at YRF Studios in Andheri, Mumbai. The set was designed to represent a 300-year-old heritage monastery on a hilltop. The concept for this unique setting was conceived by producer Aditya Chopra and director Siddharth Anand, who realized they hadn't yet explored the Orient in the franchise.
Roshan underwent martial arts training for the scene
To prepare for this scene, Roshan underwent weeks of martial arts training and learned to use a katana, a traditional Japanese sword. In addition to the action sequences, War 2 will also feature an exciting dance number with Roshan and NTR. The source added, "For War 2, they both come together and hence, one can expect fireworks on the big screen during their number. It'll be like Jai Jai Shivshankar meeting Naatu Naatu!"
