'Knives Out 3' new additions: Kerry Washington, Glenn Close aboard
It was recently reported that the third installment of Rian Johnson's popular whodunnit franchise, Knives Out, has been titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery and is set to commence production soon. The film's title draws inspiration from a song by the Irish band U2. Daniel Craig, a series regular, will once again portray Detective Benoit Blanc as confirmed by Johnson in a recent 45-second teaser. Take a look at which other actors have come aboard.
'Knives Out' series: A journey from Thrombey to Bron
The original Knives Out film, released in 2019, featured Craig's character Blanc investigating the enigmatic death of successful mystery novelist Harlan Thrombey, portrayed by Christopher Plummer. The sequel, Glass Onion, a Netflix original released in 2022, saw Blanc unraveling a complex murder mystery on the private island of an eccentric billionaire named Miles Bron (Edward Norton). The series is renowned for its large ensemble cast, so naturally, all eyes are on the cast members for the third film.
New faces joining 'Wake Up Dead Man' cast
The upcoming Wake Up Dead Man will introduce several new actors to the series. Josh O'Connor, recognized for his lead role in the recent Hollywood film Challengers, and Alice Rohrwacher's La Chimera, is confirmed for the cast. Cailee Spaeny, known for her roles in A24's Civil War and Sofia Coppola's Priscilla, has also been enlisted. Andrew Scott of All of Us Strangers and Netflix's original series Ripley has signed the dotted line, too.

Kerry Washington, renowned for her role in Scandal is another talent aboard the Knives Out 3 Express. Her most recent film role was as Professor Dovey, a fairy godmother in Netflix's adaptation of The School of Good and Evil. Eight-time Oscar nominee Glenn Close is another new addition to the ensemble. Close is known for projects such as The Natural and Something About Amelia, among others. Knives Out 3 will be released next year.
