A video of Sheeran practicing Chuttamalle on his guitar, with Rao guiding him through the Telugu lyrics, had surfaced online ahead of the concert.
The duo's discussion about their upcoming performance was also captured.
Their live rendition of the song later that evening had left fans impressed with Sheeran's flawless accent and pronunciation of Telugu words.
In a post dedicated to Rao, he wrote he loved her voice and it was a privilege to share the stage with her.

Tour progression
Sheeran's journey through India continues post-Bengaluru
The Bengaluru concert was Sheeran's first in the city. He will perform at Shillong's JN Stadium on Wednesday (February 12) and wrap up his tour at Leisure Valley Grounds, Gurugram on Saturday (February 15).
Meanwhile, another video from the metro in Bengaluru has been doing the rounds on social media where passengers can be heard singing along to Sheeran's hit song Perfect.

Sheeran clarified about his halted street performance
Meanwhile, Sheeran made headlines after his street performance in Bengaluru was suddenly halted by the local police.
He later clarified on social media that he had taken prior permission for the gig at Church Street.
"We had permission to busk, by the way. Hence, us playing in that exact spot was planned out beforehand. It wasn't just us randomly turning up."
However, cops have countered the claim, saying the permit was rejected beforehand.
