#MeToo: Vinta Nanda files police complaint against Alok Nath
Writer-producer Vinta Nanda created a havoc in the industry when she accused veteran actress Alok Nath of raping her. The lady alleged that Alok raped her nearly 19 years ago. And while the two have taken a legal route to deal with the matter, Vinta has, reportedly, filed a police complaint in Mumbai on Wednesday mentioning the details of the assault.
Giving a statement was painful, says Vinta
Talking about her complaint, Vinta said that giving her statement to the police was not easy for her as it was like reliving the pain. However, she also stated that the police department was quite cooperative with her. "She gave a written application and our inquiry is on," a senior police officer from the Oshiwara Police Station stated.
Separately, Alok filed a defamation case against Vinta
Notably, Alok has rubbished Vinta's claims and pleaded non-guilty. He has even filed a defamation suit seeking Re 1 as compensation for allegedly tarnishing his image, along with an unconditional apology. Besides, his wife Ashu also recorded her statement before a magistrate against Vinta.
Vinta is ready for the legal battle
Talking about the defamation suit, Vinta stated that she isn't scared of the legal battle. "The defamation notice was served to me post office hours last night. But, I have a fabulous battery of lawyer team who are right now in Dindoshi sessions court replying to the notice," Vinta said. Her lawyer stated that this suit was meant to distract from the allegations.
