Trailer out: Sunny Leone takes on agent avatar in 'Anamika'
Actor Sunny Leone is all set to try out the spy-thriller genre with her upcoming web series, Anamika. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the Hindi show will see Leone play the titular character of a special agent who has gone rogue. Understandably, she has to battle it out with multiple enemies, including the government agency. Its trailer was released on Tuesday. Here's a breakdown.
What does the trailer show?
The trailer begins with Anamika's perfect life with her husband Dr. Prashant (Ayaz Khan) but their peace gets disrupted. Her ex-employer, Data Collection and Analysis (DCA), finds out Agent M isn't dead as they thought but has been living as Anamika for the past three years. DCA officials hold her to be a rogue agent who has crucial information and begin searching for her.
What else can we conclude from trailer?
While Agent M aka Anamika is said to have sensitive information that can destroy many, Anamika seems to have forgotten her past as an agent. Now, the former famed spy needs to figure out who are her enemies and then beat them at their game. Surely, agent going rogue (Tiger franchise) and crucial asset losing memory (Bob Biswas) are frequently-used tropes in recent times.

The web show comes months after it was revealed that the Raaz director got married to Shwetambari Soni. Meanwhile, Leone seems to have worked hard on practicing dialog delivery, per the trailer.
