'GOAT' single marks reunion between Vijay and Yuvan Shankar Raja
It's worth noting that the first single from the forthcoming film has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and features vocals by Vijay himself. This collaboration marks a reunion for Vijay and Shankar Raja after two decades, raising expectations for a chart-topping hit. Back in 2003, the duo joined forces for the film Pudhiya Geethai—helmed by KP Jagan. While the movie itself didn't achieve commercial success, its songs, particularly the track Vasiyakaara, soared to the top of the charts.
'GOAT' filming is underway in Russia
Meanwhile, filming for GOAT is currently underway in Russia with Vijay along with other key cast members including Mic Mohan, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Jayaram, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Yogi Babu. The Russia schedule of the film commenced a week ago and is projected to conclude by the end of April. After starting production in October, the team took a New Year break following the completion of its first schedule.
Meanwhile, know more about the upcoming project
AGS Entertainment is backing this project, which also marks the maiden collaboration between Vijay and Prabhu. GOAT also features Prabhu's frequent collaborators like his brother Premgi, Vaibhav, Aravind Aakash, and Ajay Raaj. Siddhartha Nuni and Venkat Raajen will handle the cinematography and editing, respectively. Meanwhile, following this project, Thalapathy 69 is speculated to be Vijay's final film as an actor before transitioning into a full-time politician with his political party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK).
