'Beast': Vijay looks ready to fire in intense 'unseen still'
As the release date of "Thalapathy" Vijay's upcoming action film, Beast, is just around the corner, it looks like the makers have now kickstarted the promotional activities. On Sunday, Beast's production company, Sun Pictures, dropped an intense "unseen still" from the much-awaited film, featuring Vijay, on social media. The Nelson Dilipkumar-directorial is gearing up for release on April 13 amid huge expectations.
Why does this story matter?
Beast was the most-tweeted Indian movie hashtag of 2021. Moreover, Vijay's first look from the film was the most-retweeted and liked post last year, so buzz around the film is massive. Also, the fact that it is the actor's first theatrical release after more than a year makes it all the more exciting. To recall, his last film to hit cinemas was Master (2021).
What do we see in the newly dropped picture?
In the unseen still, we see Vijay holding a handgun and taking aim to fire at someone we don't see in the frame. It seems to have been taken from a scene set in an abandoned room. He looks dapper donning a black cardigan and brown shirt with a salt-and-pepper hairdo. Moreover, Vijay bears resemblance to his character from Thuppakki—where he played an army man.

Is 'Beast' being remade in Hindi?
Even as the Vijay starrer is awaiting release next month, rumors about a Hindi remake of Beast have already been making the rounds. However, there is no official word on the same as of yet.
