Sanjay Mishra replaces Vijay Raaz in 'Son of Sardaar 2'
The upcoming film Son of Sardaar 2 has been making headlines due to a recent controversy involving actor Vijay Raaz. The actor was reportedly asked to leave the project because he didn't greet the film's lead, Ajay Devgn, on the first day of shooting. However, producer Kumar Mangat Pathak has cited Raaz's unpleasant behavior and excessive demands as the reasons for his removal.
Sanjay Mishra steps in to fill Raaz's shoes
Following Raaz's exit, actor Sanjay Mishra has been brought on board to play his character. In an interview with ETimes, Mishra spoke about his decision to join the film, emphasizing his strong bond with Devgn. "I share a deep emotional bond with Ajay sir. When my brother passed away, he was there to support me," said Mishra.
Producer cites Raaz's unreasonable demands as reason for removal
Producer Pathak confirmed Raaz's removal from the film in an interview with Pinkvilla. He claimed that Raaz demanded larger rooms, a vanity van, and overcharged the team for spot boys. The film is currently being shot in the UK, where production costs are already high. Pathak added that while everyone else received standard rooms, Raaz insisted on luxury suites.
Raaz's response to allegations
In response to the allegations, Raaz told Pinkvilla that he was removed from the film 30 minutes after arriving on set because he didn't greet Devgn. He said he had arrived early for a trial and saw Devgn standing about 25 meters away. He didn't greet him as he was busy talking to his friends.
Raaz's spot boy allegedly involved in sexual harassment incident
According to sources on the set, Raaz's spot boy allegedly sexually assaulted a hotel staff member while under the influence of alcohol. However, Raaz clarified that these two incidents were separate and occurred hours apart. He stated that he was removed from the film at 1:00pm on August 18, while the incident at the hotel took place at 10:00pm on the same day.
