Actor Vijay gifts 'Bigil' gold rings to 400 crew members
Tamil superstar Vijay, who's working on Bigil, gifted customized gold rings to around 400 crew members of the movie. According to reports, Vijay gave the gift to mark the successful completion of the Tamil sports-based action drama. The gold rings gifted by him had the film's title embossed on it. Overwhelmed, some crew members took to social media to share pictures of the ring.

Among those who shared about this gesture was the film's producer Archana Kalpathi, who said that this "token of affection coming from him made everyone's day. Our Thalapathy (Commander in Chief in Tamil) made it extra special by valuing each and every individual's contribution today."

In another tweet, Archana mentioned that the shooting of the movie is almost complete. She further stated that the post-production of Bigil is in full swing. "We are finally at that stage where we can plan and announce updates. Dubbing has started post-production is in full swing and shooting is 95% complete," Archana wrote. Notably, Bigil is slated to release on Diwali, 2019.
'Bigil' marks Vijay's third collaboration with director Atlee Kumar
Helmed by Atlee Kumar, Bigil will mark Vijay's third collaboration with the renowned director. The actor-director duo had earlier worked in Theri and Mersal, both of which were blockbusters at the box office. Reportedly, in the movie, Vijay will be playing the role of a rowdy football coach of an all-women's team. Apart from Vijay, Bigil also stars Nayanthara in the lead.
