The poster showcases him in a rugged avatar, and the release date has been set for March 28, 2025. Accompanying the poster, Deverakonda shared a captivating message: "His Destiny awaits him. 'VD12' marks Deverakonda's debut in the spy thriller genre
The film VD 12, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, marks Deverakonda's first role as a cop in a spy thriller, reportedly. For this role, Deverakonda underwent a physical transformation, appearing muscular with a full beard and neatly trimmed haircut in the poster. The actor's new look has generated considerable buzz among fans and fellow actors alike.

'VD12' filming locations span from Vizag to Sri Lanka
Parts of VD 12 were filmed in Sri Lanka for approximately a month to capture crucial scenes. Before this, the team completed a 30-day shoot in Vizag, selecting beachside locations that align with the film's spy thriller genre. The first glimpse of the film has already stirred excitement among fans and fellow actors, including rumored girlfriend Rashmika Mandanna who reshared the first look on her X/Twitter account with the caption "Madness" followed by a fire emoji.
Deverakonda's upcoming projects and 'VD12' cast speculations
In addition to VD12, Deverakonda is also working on an action-packed film with Ravi Kiran Kola, which he announced on his birthday this year. His last appearance was in Nag Ashwin's film Kalki 2898 AD, where he made a special cameo as Arjuna from Mahabharata. While the complete cast of VD12 is yet to be announced, there are speculations that Bhagyashree Borse may play the female lead. The film's music will be scored by renowned composer Anirudh Ravichander.
