Rahul Sankrityan to direct Deverakonda's 'VD14'
Rahul Sankrityan has been roped in to direct VD14, marking his second collaboration with Deverakonda after their successful horror-comedy, Taxiwaala. The film's poster, featuring the dates "1854 - 1878" inscribed beneath the figure, suggest the storyline may involve historical disputes. The makers, Mythri Movie Makers, heightened anticipation by stating, "Epics are not written, they are etched in the blood of heroes. 'VD14' rumored to feature Rashmika Mandanna
There are rumors about actor Rashmika Mandanna joining the cast of VD14, but no official statement has been released yet. If true, this will mark the actors' third collaboration after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. The upcoming film is believed to be a gripping drama set against the backdrop of the Rayalaseema region. In addition to VD14, Deverakonda also revealed another project with producer Dil Raju on his special day.
Earlier, Deverakonda teased upcoming films, 'SVC59,' 'VD12'
Directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, the title of this film is yet to be announced but a bloody poster was launched on Thursday. Its tentative title is SVC59, marking the 59th project under Raju's banner, Sri Venkateswara Creations. His forthcoming film VD12, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, is rumored to be a spy action thriller. Tinnanuri gave an update about its shooting schedule, too. Deverakonda was last seen in the film The Family Star, which received mixed reactions.
