After PM Modi, Mayawati to have a biopic on her?
It's raining biopics on politicians in Bollywood these days. First there was the biopic on former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, then Bal Thackeray and now on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And as per recent media reports, BSP supremo Mayawati is also set to join the league. Reportedly, director Subhash Kapoor is planning to make a biopic on her.
Vidya Balan to play Mayawati on screen, suggests media report
According to an exclusive report in Pinkvilla, Subhash had considered as many as 7-8 A-list actresses for the lead role. However, he, reportedly, finalized actress Vidya Balan for the part. If the reports are to be believed, the Tumhari Sulu actress will portray the BSP chief on the big screen. Notably, an official confirmation about Vidya doing the biopic is still awaited.
Subhash 'hurriedly' denied the news, says the same media report
The Pinkvilla report also mentioned that when Subhash was approached to confirm the news, he apparently denied the news of the biopic. "We reached out to Subhash Kapoor who hurriedly denied the story before hanging up on us," the report stated.
For now, Vidya to do cameo in 'Pink' Tamil remake
On the work front, Vidya will be seen in the Tamil remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu-starrer Pink. Titled as Nerkonda Paarvai, the movie will have superstar Ajith reprising Big B's role. It is reported that Vidya will be doing a cameo in the movie. Besides, she is also in talks for a web series on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
