'Natkhat' premiered at 'We Are One' film festival
Directed by Shaan Vyas, who is known for producing films like Masaan and Zubaan, the movie premiered at the We Are One: A Global Film Festival. The film tells the story of a mother (played by Balan) teaching her son (child artiste Sanika Patel) lessons on patriarchal society and the importance of gender equality through her bedtime stories.

On a related note, Lijo Jose Pellissery's Jallikattu has been selected as India's official entry in the Best International Feature Film category at the 93rd Academy Awards. The Malayalam-language film was released in 2019. The Oscars ceremony was earlier slated to take place on February 28, but it has since been postponed to April 25 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
