#URITrailer: Vicky Kaushal looks promising in action-packed surgical strike movie
Vicky Kaushal, the rising star of Bollywood, is back again to impress the audience with yet another content-oriented movie - URI. Helmed by Aditya Dhar, the movie is based on 2016 surgical strikes and also stars Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. The makers have just released the trailer which comes with the heavy dose of action and patriotism. Take a look!
'URI' to bring true story of surgical strikes
The 2016 surgical strike was indeed a defining moment in the history of the Indian Army. And URI will give you a sneak-peak of the historic moment. The movie features Vicky as an Indian army officer who will avenge the "deadliest attack in two decades" on behalf of the nation. The trailer has several nerve-wracking moments, filled with the right amount of patriotism.
Surgical strikes: A path to a new, stronger India
Notably, the Indian Army's special forces carried out surgical strikes across LoC on September 29. They were carried out to avenge the attack by terrorists in J&K's Uri which had killed 19 Indian soldiers. Eleven days post the deadly attack, the Indian Army conducted surgical strikes and reportedly inflicted heavy casualties. However, the claims were rejected by Pakistan.
Vicky is back to win hearts, but with action
We have seen him as a lover boy, a charming husband, a supportive friend. But this time, Vicky will feature in a never-seen-before-avatar. Vicky plays the role of Indian military office Vihaan Singh Shergill whose roars will give you goose-bumps. Interestingly, this is Vicky's first attempt at action and like always, he has seemed to ace it.
Even Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal look impressive
Apart from Vicky, URI also stars Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal in key roles. Yami plays the role of an intelligence officer who means business as she interrogates a terrorist about the Uri attacks. Paresh Rawal, who has time and again nailed it with his acting skills, looks impressive as an Indian government official who suggested to execute surgical strikes to his seniors.
Hard-hitting dialogues evoke sense of patriotism
Given the storyline, URI is expected to have some nail-biting, deadly action sequences. But the hard-hitting dialogues work as the cherry on the cake. These dialogues will remind you of Sunny Deol from JP Dutta's Border and will have a long-lasting 'patriotic' impact on you. Besides, the brilliant narration sends a chill down the spine and keep you intrigued till the end.
