Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhaava' declared tax-free in Goa after Madhya Pradesh

Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has declared that the historical drama Chhaava, featuring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, will be tax-free in the state.
The film is inspired by the life and sacrifices of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
In a social media post, Sawant lauded the film for "bringing the glorious history to the screen" and emphasized its depiction of Maharaj's valor and courage.

'Chhaava' features an ensemble cast
The new announcement came on the heels of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav declaring the film tax-free in Madhya Pradesh.
Along with Kaushal, Khanna, and Mandanna, Chhaava also stars an ensemble cast of Diana Penty, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Varun Buddhadev, Vineet Kumar Singh, Santosh Juvekar, Alok Nath, Somaji Pradeep Rawat, and Kiran Karmarkar.
The film has been directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series.

'Chhaava' surpassed 'Kesari' and 'Tanhaji' in earnings
Chhaava has outdone recent Bollywood historical films like Kesari and Tanhaji in terms of earnings.
On its first day, the film earned ₹31cr in India, beating Tanhaji's ₹15cr and Kesari's ₹21.06cr.
The film continued to rule the Indian box office on Wednesday with a mind-boggling net collection of ₹32cr—a 26.73% increase in the collection, per Sacnilk.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced on Thursday that Chhaava has made a grand entry into the ₹200cr club.
