'Pati, Patni Aur Woh' actor Vidya Sinha dies at 71
In a tragic incident, veteran actor Vidya Sinha died on Thursday. Sinha, who had appeared in both films and television shows, was suffering from heart and lung disorders. She was 71. Sinha was put on ventilator; died at noon
According to SpotboyE, she was rushed to the hospital in a critical state last week. While the doctors managed to stabilize her blood pressure and pulse rate back to normal, she was put on a PAP (Positive airway Pressure) ventilator. Although Sinha had faced lung disorders for years, the issue got aggravated in the past three months. Sinha died at 12 pm on Thursday.

Qubool Hai co-star Surbhi Jyoti told SpotboyE, "Oh my God, this is really heartbreaking for me." She said, "I remember on the sets she was so motherly and everybody was so fond of her," adding, "May her soul rest in peace." Filmmaker Anil Sharma, who said he worked with her on Pati, Patni Aur Woh, tweeted, "May God give strength to her family."

Sinha started her career at the age of 18 with Rajnigandha (1974), after being discovered by director Basu Chatterjee. She went on to feature in Chatterjee's Chhoti Si Baat (1976), and BR Chopra's Pati, Patni Aur Woh (1978). Her last mainstream film was Salman Khan starrer Bodyguard (2011). Popularly, she starred in TV shows Kaavyanjali, Qubool Hai, and Kulfi Kumarr Bajewala.
Sinha's first husband died; walked out of second marriage
Sinha's personal life wasn't one without struggles. She was married to Venkateshwaran Iyer in 1968, however, he, unfortunately, passed in 1996. The two had adopted a daughter, Jahnvi. She then married an Australia-based doctor named Netaji Bhimrao Salunkhe in 2001 and moved to Sydney with her daughter. However, after facing physical and mental abuse, Sinha filed for divorce in 2009.
