'Vedaa' box office collection: John Abraham's film continues to fall
John Abraham's latest action flick, Vedaa, is struggling to hold its ground at the box office. The film, directed by Nikkhil Advani, opened to mixed reviews on August 15 and has seen a steady decline in collections over the week. Vedaa, which also features Sharvari and Abhishek Banerjee in key roles, was released alongside Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein.
'Vedaa' box office performance: A downward trend
Vedaa started on a decent note, collecting ₹6.3 crore across all languages on its opening day. However, the film's performance has since dipped, with collections falling to mere lakhs. As of Wednesday, Vedaa's total box office collection stood at ₹16.94 crore, indicating a lackluster response from audiences. The film's underwhelming performance comes as a disappointment for fans of Abraham's action-packed roles.
'Vedaa': A tale of revenge and resilience
Vedaa tells the story of a Dalit girl, portrayed by Sharvari, who challenges the authorities to fight against the oppression faced by her community. Abraham's character, an army soldier, trains her to exact revenge on the main antagonist, played by Banerjee. The film marks Abraham's comeback to the big screen after his villainous role in last year's blockbuster, Pathaan. The film also stars Ashish Vidyarthi.
