John-Sharvari's 'Vedaa' crosses ₹10cr in 3 days
Despite facing stiff competition from big releases like Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein, Nikkhil Advani's directorial Vedaa has managed to make its mark at the box office. The film, starring John Abraham and Sharvari in lead roles, has reportedly crossed the ₹10 crore mark in three days of its release. It is Abraham's first and Sharvari's third release of the year.
'Vedaa' box office collection
According to early estimates by Sacnilk,Vedaa collected ₹6.52 crore on its opening day. However, the film's earnings dipped on the second day, raking in only ₹1.60 crore. On its third day, Vedaa managed to earn ₹2.40 crore, bringing its total collection to ₹10.50 crore so far. The film is expected to do better on Sunday and Monday (Raksha Bandhan holiday).
'Vedaa' highlights deep-rooted caste system in rural India
Vedaa follows the story of Abhimanyu, a former soldier who trains Dalit boxer Vedaa in Barmer, defying caste norms. The film aims to shed light on the deep-rooted caste system prevalent in rural India. Apart from Abraham and Sharvari, the movie also features Abhishek Banerjee, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Ashish Vidyarthi in pivotal roles. After its theatrical run, it will likely stream on ZEE5.
