Varun Tej's 'Ghani' release stalled, avoids clash with 'Bheemla Nayak'
After Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu, another Telugu film has decided to postpone its release to avert a clash with Pawan Kalyan-Rana Daggubati's Bheemla Nayak. Ghani, the sports drama starring Varun Tej, will not release in theaters on February 25, as was originally planned. Makers said the new release date will be announced "very soon." Meanwhile, Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu will now hit theaters on March 4.
What was said in the announcement?
While announcing the update, the film's makers wrote, "We are overwhelmed with the love you are showering on Ghani. Your encouragement motivates us to keep moving forward with faith in these tough times." "As Bheemla Nayak is going to hit the cinemas on Feb 25th, we are pushing the release date of Ghani. New release date will be announced soon," they further added.

February 24 and 25 blocked with big releases
Now, February 24 and 25 are blocked with releases of big ventures. Apart from Bheemla Nayak, the Telugu dubbed versions of mega-budget ventures like Tamil film Valimai, starring Ajith Kumar, and Bollywood movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt, are also gearing up for release on February 24 and 25, respectively. So, the postponement of Ghani is indeed a smart move by its makers.
What else do we know of 'Ghani'?
Directed by Kiran Korrapati, Ghani has received a UA certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) earlier this month. The film will see Tej as a boxer in his first-ever sports film. It co-stars Saiee Manjrekar, Jagapathi Babu, Upendra, and Suniel Shetty. Naveen Chandra will be the antagonist in Ghani, which is being bankrolled by Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company.
Release of Tej's other film postponed, too
Separately, Tej will also be seen in the upcoming film F3: Fun and Frustration, alongside Venkatesh Daggubati. F3 was also initially slated for a February 25 outing, but now it is releasing on May 27. Its makers had assured earlier that there won't be any further delay, so let's wait and see. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film co-stars Tamannaah Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzada.
