Despite its commercial elements, Baby John struggled at the box office owing to mixed reviews and little pre-release buzz.
The film opened with a modest ₹11.25 crore on opening day, the film saw a sharp decline to ₹4.25 crore on its second day.
It wrapped up its theatrical run in less than three weeks, garnering a worldwide gross of just ₹61 crore against a reported budget of over ₹150 crore.
