#SOTY2: Varun Dhawan gets nostalgic about 'Student Of The Year'
It's been seven years since Varun Dhawan made his Bollywood debut with Student Of The Year in 2012. Now the franchise is coming up with its second installment starring Tara Sutaria, Tiger Shroff and Ananya Pandey. And while everyone is eagerly waiting for SOTY2, Varun got nostalgic about the franchise and said that he still can't believe that his movie is getting a sequel.
People still call the three of us 'student', says Varun
Notably, along with Varun, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra also made their debut with SOTY. Recalling their initial days in Bollywood, the actor stated that even after seven years, the three are often termed as 'student'. "I don't think that tag will go away from us and we never know in Student of The Year 3 we might go back to school," he quipped.
'Never thought there will be a sequel to our film'
While talking about Student Of The Year 2, the 31-year-old told that he's quite happy to have a sequel to his movie. "I think Tiger, Ananya and Tara are looking superb in the film. Alia, Sid and I are equally proud and happy about it. We never thought that there will be a sequel to our film and that too really soon," he mentioned.
Hopefully, people will like the film, Varun on 'Kalank'
For now, Varun is looking forward to the release of Kalank and calls it one of the biggest movies of his career. The movie is set to release on April 17 and Varun is naturally quite nervous about it. "I feel audience have huge expectations from this film. People have appreciated trailer and songs, hopefully, they will like the film as well," he stated.
Zafar is an interesting character, Varun speaks about his role
The trailer of Kalank showed Varun playing the role of a bull-fighter named Zafar. He is also this flamboyant hero, who wins Alia's heart. Talking about his role, Varun said, "It's been a hell of a journey playing this gem of a character. Zafar is a very interesting character and it is one of the important characters of my film career."
