Chinmayi calls Vairamuthu 'liar' as he denies sexual harassment allegations
What's the story
After creating a havoc in Bollywood, the #MeToo campaign recently turned towards Tamil industry when renowned lyricist Vairamuthu was accused of sexual harassment by several women.
From anonymous budding singers to girls staying in hostels owned by him, Vairamuthu, allegedly, spared no one.
And while the lyricist has vehemently dismissed the allegations, singer Chinmayi Sripaada has called him a liar.

Vairamuthu calls these allegations a mere publicity gimmick
Vairamuthu, who happens to be a seven-times National Award winning lyricist, took to Twitter to rubbish the allegations leveled against him.
He cited the claims as a publicity gimmick and wrote, "Today, it has become a norm to wrongly accuse people who have gained recognition. I will not consider anything that is other than the truth itself. Time will tell the truth."

Chinmayi slams Vairamuthu for his denial
Singer Chinmayi, who has been actively supporting the #MeToo campaign, nullified Vairamuthu's denial of the allegations.
She not just cited him as a liar but also went on to call Vairamuthu a sexual predator.
"Whether you slut shame me or call me names, Vairamuthu is a sexual predator. I will take this to my grave," Chinmayi tweeted.

Chinmayi exposed Vairamuthu on social media
Notably, Chinmayi has been one of the women who exposed Vairamuthu in the wake of the ongoing #MeToo movement.
She has been sharing screenshots of the messages sent to her by the women who were sexually harassed by the National Award-winning lyricist.
Despite facing trolls and criticism from Vairamuthu's fans, Chinmayi continues to voice her opinion against him.
