It also bagged a spot at the Cannes Film Festival's prestigious Marche du Film Fantastic Pavilion, a major milestone for Malayalam cinema.

Vadakkan also bagged the Best Feature Film award at the Autumn Edition of the Red Movie Awards in Reims, France.
At Cannes, during its screening, Pablo Guisa, Executive Director of Fantastic Pavilion, had praised the film's gripping narrative and unique storytelling format. He had lauded it as a testament to the strength of Indian cinema in the global genre cinema space.
