Vaani Kapoor's 'Mandala Murders' is back on track; filming resumes

The production team of the upcoming Netflix India series, Mandala Murders, has resumed shooting to add and rework certain scenes. The decision was made after suggestions from the editing team during post-production.
The series marks actor Vaani Kapoor's web debut and is part of Netflix's 2025 lineup.
Despite wrapping up principal photography last year, director Gopi Puthran and his crew returned to the set last week for additional filming.

A source close to the production revealed to Mid-Day, "The Yash Raj series, which sees Vaani's character investigating a series of murders, has been a massive undertaking with its action-heavy sequences and layered storytelling."
"When the show reached the edit table this year, the makers and editing team felt that certain portions needed to be fine-tuned to enhance the crime thriller's tension and intensity. So, a call was taken to rework those scenes and add some sequences."

'Mandala Murders' filming in final stages
The production team has been shooting in different parts of the city, including Madh Island.
The source added, "The last phase of the shoot in Madh Island involves crucial portions that tie together the layered plot."
"Another week of filming is left before the material is deemed good to go."
The series, announced in 2023, also stars actors Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Jameel Khan, and Surveen Chawla alongside Kapoor.
