'Uri: The Surgical Strike' actor Navtej Hundal dies in Mumbai
Bollywood actor Navtej Hundal breathed his last yesterday evening in Mumbai. Notably, Hundal was last seen in Vicky Kaushal-starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike which turned out to be one of the biggest hits of 2019. Hundal played the role of the home minister in the movie. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. Reportedly, the cause of his death is still unknown.
Hundal cremated today at Oshiwara, CINTAA pays condolences
The unfortunate news was shared by Cine And TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) on micro-blogging site, Twitter. It also mentioned that Hundal was cremated today at Oshiwara. "#CINTAA expresses its deepest condolence on the demise of Shri Navtej Hundal. May his soul rest in peace. The cremation is at Oshiwara Crematorium, Relief Road, Prakash Nagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Jogeshwari (W) at 11 am," the tweet read.
Hundal was diagnosed with Hepatitis B, hospitalized for a week
Meanwhile, as per a report published in SpotboyE, Hundal was diagnosed with Hepatitis B, and was hospitalized for a week. In fact, he was supposed to be discharged soon. "Navtej was hospitalized past one week as he was getting treated for Hepatitis B. He was recovering well and was supposed to be discharged yesterday. The news has left the family shocked," a source stated.
Hundal taught acting, was part of 'Khalnayak,' 'Tere Mere Sapne'
Of his two daughters, Avantika Hundal is currently playing Mihika in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, featuring Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi. Hundal, himself, was a part of several movies like Khalnayak (1993), Tere Mere Sapne (1996) and The Whisperers (2009) along with television shows like Bharat Ek Khoj. The late actor also used to teach acting to young aspirants.
