Why Uorfi Javed ran away from home at 17
Social media influencer and actor Uorfi Javed recently opened up about her struggles in the entertainment industry, revealing that she left home at 17 due to her conservative family. The former Bigg Boss OTT 1 contestant shared this information during her appearance on the dance reality show India's Best Dancer 4. She also spoke about her journey and the challenges she faced along the way.
'I ran away from home at 17'
Javed was invited as a guest on the show for a special episode titled Uorfi Ka Chauka. During the episode, judge Geeta Kapur asked her if she ever had to convince her parents about her career choice. Javed responded, "I ran away from home at 17. My family was conservative and I ran away anyway so there was no scope to convince anyone."
'There was never a Plan B for me'
Javed further revealed that she and her sister became the breadwinners of their family after she left home. "I've faced many moments where I wanted to give up, but I always got back up. There was never a Plan B for me," she said. "What worked in my favour was consistency and I think God must have showered his blessing on me, which is the reason I have been rewarded."
