'Ulajh' to bow out soon, collects ₹8.82cr in 11 days
The film Ulajh has been facing a tough time at the box office, with its 11-day collection amounting to an estimated ₹8.82 crore (India net). The movie, directed by Sudhanshu Saria and produced by Junglee Pictures, stars Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Sachin Khedekar, and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles. Despite the star-studded cast, Ulajh has been witnessing a steady decline in its earnings since its release.
'Ulajh' sees a downward trend in collections
Ulajh opened with a collection of ₹1.15 crore on its first day, followed by an increase to ₹1.75 crore and ₹2 crore on the second and third days, respectively. However, the film's earnings started to dip from the fourth day, with collections dropping to ₹0.65 crore on both the fourth and fifth days. The sixth and seventh days saw further declines, earning ₹0.55 crore and ₹0.45 crore respectively.
Second week at box office remains underwhelming for 'Ulajh'
The film continued its sluggish performance into the second week, with a collection of ₹0.35 crore on the eighth day. This was followed by a slight increase to ₹0.55 crore on the ninth day and ₹0.6 crore on the 10th day. However, these figures are still significantly lower compared to the initial days of release, indicating a lack of sustained audience interest in the movie.
'Ulajh' records low overall Hindi occupancy on Day 11
On its 11th day (Monday), Ulajh recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of just 10.48%. The occupancy rates varied throughout the day, with morning shows recording a low 6.11%. This increased slightly to 9.6% for afternoon shows and 10.27% for evening shows, peaking at 15.93% for night shows. Despite the increase in occupancy during the night, the overall figure remains low, reflecting the film's struggle to draw audiences.
Regional occupancy rates highlight 'Ulajh's' struggle
In terms of regional occupancy rates on Day 11, Mumbai recorded a rate of 13%, followed by Bengaluru at 13.5%, Hyderabad at 16.67%, Kolkata at 9.75%, Ahmedabad at 6.25%, Chennai at 12.5%, Surat at 7%, Jaipur at 25%, Chandigarh at 22.67%, Bhopal at 7%, and Lucknow at 7.75%. These figures further illustrate the film's struggle to attract audiences across different regions in the country.
