IMDb describes the film's storyline as, "A mythological story about a goddess who created the entire universe. The plot revolves around the consequences when humans build a temple for her first-born." The film was directed by Rahi Anil Barve and also starred Rudra Soni, Anita Date-Kelkar, and Ronjini Chakraborty. Originally declared a flop upon its release, the film gained a cult following after its arrival on OTT.

On Saturday, Shah took to social media to announce a sequel to the celebrated horror-thriller. Previously, Shah had mentioned that scripting for the sequel was underway, but did not provide a timeline. Now, the official announcement suggests that the team has made significant progress in terms of the pre-production work. Shah, however, did not mention a release date.
