Salman's Da-Bangg Tour in Nepal hits a roadblock
In a setback to Salman Khan, his Da-Bangg tour in Nepal has been called off for now. The show was scheduled to be held on March 10 in Kathmandu. The decision has been taken following the threats from a Maoist party. Salman was to be joined by Sonakshi Sinha, Kriti Sanon, Prabhudheva, Daisy Shah, Meet Bros and Maniesh Paul for the show.
Several objections raised against the show
As per the reports, threats have been posted by the cultural wing of the CPN-Maoist, a splinter of CPN (Maoist Centre) led by Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav' as they do not favor the "expansion of cultural intervention on Nepali soil." All the nationalist forces in Nepal have also been urged to come together and oppose the event.
The CPN-Maoist even issued a statement
"In a way, the programme is also promoting liquor which is not acceptable to us. We are against all kinds of globalization bids. We know Salman is popular but any kind of cultural attack is not acceptable," it read.
The organizers are looking out for a new date
Much to the delight of all Salman fans in Nepal, the organizers in Kathmandu informed that the event may now be held sometime in April. "The show is just postponed for further dates and going to reschedule it very soon," they said. The Da-Bangg Tour has enthralled audience in several big cities such as Delhi, Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, London, and Birmingham.
