The filmmakers also emphasized that popular actors of various languages have been part of the film.
Claim
'Kannappa' is a historical narrative, not a mythology
Lead actor Vishnu Manchu shared that Kannappa's journey started in 2014. He added, "In 2015, when I was developing Kannappa, Tanikella Bharani garu completely entrusted it to me. Last year, we began the film's shoot."
"Kannappa is not mythology; Kannappa is our history. Don't believe it to be fiction; it is a story from the second century during the Chola kings's time."
