Actor Triptii Dimri might be roped in to portray the late celebrated actor Parveen Babi in an upcoming biopic, reported Filmfare. The project is said to be in its early stages, with no official confirmation about the cast or director. However, industry insiders have indicated that Dimri is a strong contender for the lead role, given her impressive performances in recent films like Animal and Bad Newz.
Dimri's filmography makes her a strong contender
Apart from the aforementioned movies, Dimri has also delivered compelling performances in films such as Qala and Laila Majnu. These roles have showcased her range and depth as an actor, making her a fitting choice for the role of Babi. Notably, Babi's career spanned the 1970s and 1980s, during which she was celebrated for her roles in films like Deewar, Amar Akbar Anthony, and Khatta Meetha.

She will also be seen in Dharma Productions's Dhadak 2. Vicky Vidya... will release on October 11, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to hit theaters on Diwali.
