K-pop: SEVENTEEN and ILLIT secure triple crowns on Circle charts
Renowned K-pop groups SEVENTEEN and ILLIT have achieved triple crowns on the Circle Weekly and Monthly Charts, previously known as the Gaon Chart. Despite being released late in April, SEVENTEEN's new best-of album 17 IS RIGHT HERE topped the monthly album chart. Following closely were TXT's new mini album minisode 3: TOMORROW and IVE's new EP IVE SWITCH, securing the second and third spots, respectively.
SEVENTEEN continues chart dominance
SEVENTEEN maintained their chart-topping performance in the weekly album chart, leading the physical album chart, overall digital chart, and digital download chart with 17 IS RIGHT HERE and its title track MAESTRO. The regular version of their compilation album debuted at No. 1. The Weverse version and KiT versions also made it to the charts, ranking at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
ILLIT achieved triple crown with debut song 'Magnetic'
HYBE's newest girl group ILLIT also marked a successful month, securing a triple crown for April with their hit debut song Magnetic. The track topped the overall digital chart, streaming chart, and global K-pop chart. The top five songs on this month's digital and streaming charts were identical, led by ILLIT's Magnetic. SEVENTEEN also made a strong display on the overall digital chart with their new title track MAESTRO, debuting at No. 1.
April's top downloads and social chart rankings
In terms of downloads for April, Lee Chan-won led the pack with his latest hit A Travel To The Sky. NCT's Doyoung's solo debut track Little Light entered at No. 2, while SEVENTEEN's MAESTRO debuted at No. 3 on the list. For the weekly download chart, SEVENTEEN again topped with MAESTRO. On the social charts for April, FIFTY FIFTY climbed to No. 1, followed by BTS and BLACKPINK at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
