Costco refutes Diddy's lawyer's claim of bulk baby oil purchase
Costco, the wholesale retail giant, has denied allegations made by Marc Agnifilo, the attorney for rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs. Agnifilo had suggested that his client purchased large quantities of baby oil from Costco. This statement was made in response to US prosecutors' claims of discovering 1K bottles of baby oil at Combs's residences, allegedly used for illicit parties.
'He buys in bulk': Agnifilo on Combs's shopping habits
Agnifilo defended Combs by stating, "He buys in bulk," during an interview on Wednesday. He further added, "I think they have Costcos in every place where he has a home." However, these claims were refuted by a Costco spokesperson who told TMZ that none of their US stores carry baby oil. The product is also not listed on their website or that of rival warehouse giant Sam's Club.
Agnifilo questioned government's count of Combs's baby oil stash
Agnifilo expressed doubts about the government's count of Combs's baby oil collection. He stated, "I don't think it was 1,000," and suggested that it was a significant amount but not as high as alleged. In an interview with TMZ, he reiterated his stance by saying, "I don't know where the number '1,000' came from."
Combs faces serious charges amid baby oil controversy
The controversy over Combs's alleged bulk purchase of baby oil is part of a larger legal issue. Federal prosecutors have charged him with three counts of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The charges were filed following his arrest in New York on September 16. Despite pleading not guilty to all charges, he remains in custody at a Brooklyn detention facility awaiting trial.
