Renowned actor Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal's sister dead at 45
Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, known for her role in the popular Indian TV series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is mourning the death of her sister, Dimple. Reportedly, Dimple (45) passed away due to health complications last week (on April 13). She had been fighting for her life on a ventilator for a week before she succumbed to her illness. The actor confirmed this heartbreaking news to Times Now and expressed her grief over the loss of her sibling.
Dimple's health struggles and hospital transfers
Dimple had been suffering from low blood pressure and gallbladder stones, which caused her significant discomfort. Initially admitted to a private hospital, she was later moved to a government facility due to rising medical costs. Despite showing signs of recovery after two days on a ventilator at the new hospital, her health quickly deteriorated due to recurring breathing difficulties.
Bansiwal also shared emotional tribute online
In a touching social media post, Bansiwal paid tribute to her late sister. She wrote, "Life will be unimaginable without you my darling sister Dimple. Love you. Miss you." The actor further expressed that Dimple taught them how to live joyfully and keep smiling despite adversities.
Actor's deep bond with her late sister
Bansiwal and Dimple shared a close relationship, often seen together in videos on social media platforms. However, when Dimple passed away in their hometown in Madhya Pradesh, Bansiwal couldn't be present as she was in Mumbai on a brief trip. Speaking to Times Now, the actor said, "[Dimple] was very attached to me. I still cannot accept that she is no more. Every day, Dimple and I spoke on video call."
Brother's demise, controversial 'TMKOC' exit kept Bansiwal in headlines
Notably, the TV actor lost her brother back in 2022. After that, Bansiwal often shared how she had become responsible for her entire maternal home. In May 2023, the Hindi small-screen actor made headlines for quitting TMKOC. After playing Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi for 15 years, she exited the sitcom, accusing the makers of harassment and non-payment of dues. Last month, Bansiwal claimed she had won a harassment case against producer Asit Kumarr Modi.
