'Arjun Reddy' Hindi remake gets title, release date. Details here
The Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster 'Arjun Reddy' has been titled 'Kabir Singh'. Starring Shahid Kapoor in the titular role, the film will hit the theatres on June 21, 2019. Kiara Advani plays the female lead. The film is directed by Sandeep Vanga who was also the director of the Telugu version. T-Series and Cine1 Studios are producing the project.
Vanga says the protagonist's name came up naturally
"When we started work on the Hindi script, it was a very exciting journey. 'Kabir Singh', as the protagonist's name, came naturally, considering the character's graph. Kabir Singh has the same punch and madness of Arjun Reddy," Vanga said in a statement.

Shahid sports four different looks in the movie and has been preparing for it over the last three months. His long hair and beard are part of Kabir Singh's persona. The story revolves around a hot-headed surgeon who becomes an alcoholic and chooses a life of self-destruction after his girlfriend marries another man. The film will be shot extensively in Mumbai, Delhi, and Mussoorie.
