Tim Roth joins Cillian Murphy in Netflix's 'Peaky Blinders' movie
Oscar nominee Tim Roth has been announced as the latest addition to the star-studded cast of Netflix's Peaky Blinders movie. The English actor will share screen space with Cillian Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, and Barry Keoghan in this highly anticipated film directed by Tom Harper. The roles of Roth, Ferguson, and Keoghan are currently undisclosed.
Murphy to reprise iconic role in 'Peaky Blinders' movie
Murphy, an Oscar winner, will reprise his iconic role as Tommy Shelby, the leader of the notorious Birmingham gangster family. The production of this feature film is scheduled to commence before the end of 2024. The script for this epic continuation has been penned by Steven Knight, the creator of the original BAFTA-winning series.
'Peaky Blinders' movie to be produced by Knight and team
Knight will also serve as a producer for the Peaky Blinders movie, alongside Caryn Mandabach, Murphy, and Guy Heeley. The executive producers include Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Mason. This film is being produced in collaboration with BBC Film. At the RTS London Convention, Knight praised the "mindblowing" cast and revealed that the film is set during World War II.

Roth, known for his role in Rob Roy which earned him a Best Supporting Actor nomination in 1995, has an extensive list of feature credits. These include Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and The Hateful Eight; as well as Little Odessa, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead and The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover. Recently on television, he appeared in Last King of the Cross, Tiny Beautiful Things and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
