Tigmanshu Dhulia says Irrfan 'is fine', may start shooting soon
It's been a couple of months that speculations are rife about Irrfan Khan's comeback on the screen. The actor has been missing from limelight for a year now, after he was diagnosed with high-grade Neuroendocrine tumor. Meanwhile, recent reports suggested that Irrfan has returned to India, and would begin shooting for Hindi Medium 2 soon. Irrfan's health has also improved, says director-producer Tigmanshu Dhulia.
Irrfan is perfectly fine now, confirms good friend Dhulia
Earlier, there were many reports that Irrfan, who is being treated at Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital, isn't recovering well. The reports further suggested that the healing process is quite exhausting for him. However, Dhulia, Irrfan's close friend, rubbished the reports and said that he is fine. "I did meet him after he returned to India. He is perfectly fine now," he shared.
'Hindi Medium 2' script is ready, confirms producer
Meanwhile, Hindi Medium 2' producer Dinesh Vijan also stated that the script of this much-talked-about movie is ready, and they are waiting for Irrfan's recovery. "Irrfan has just come back to town. It's the script that's ready. Hopefully, in another month, we'll have clarity," Dinesh was quoted saying. He also stated that no official decision has been made about the cast of the movie.
Separately, director Saket Chaudhary has distanced himself from the project
On the other hand, Saket Chaudhary, who directed 2017 release Hindi Medium, has distanced himself from the second installment of the franchise. Reportedly, Saket felt that "he's done telling the story he wanted to". While official confirmation of the same is awaited, we wonder if Vijan will have to look out for a new director for the movie.
