'Thunderbolts' trailer: Florence Pugh-Sebastian Stan unite for a twisted adventure
Marvel Studios has released the first trailer for its highly anticipated upcoming film Thunderbolts, set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025. The movie features an ensemble cast including Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and David Harbour reprising their roles from previous Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films. The trailer showcases a team of heroes and anti-heroes uniting for a thrilling mission.
It's all confusion until it all comes together!
The trailer opens with Yelena Belova (Pugh), visiting her father, Red Guardian (Harbour), who is clearly struggling. Both characters seem dissatisfied with their circumstances and are in need of excitement. As the trailer unfolds, we witness the formation of an anti-hero team featuring Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, and Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster—all grappling with their situations while also clashing with each other.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus makes an appearance as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who appears to be leading the Thunderbolts. A standout moment in the trailer is the introduction of Lewis Pullman's character, Bob, aka Sentry, who looks bemused when the rest of the team arrives unannounced. Thunderbolts is directed by Jake Schreier, with Kevin Feige serving as the producer. The film's executive producers include Louis D'Esposito, Brian Chapek, Jason Tamez, and Scarlett Johansson.
