This project marks a monumental collaboration—the return of the legendary Nayakan (1987) team, Kamal Haasan, and director Mani Ratnam, after a hiatus of 37 years.

'Thug Life' filming is underway with a star-studded ensemble
The current filming phase of Thug Life is taking place in Aerocity Delhi. The ensemble cast includes Trisha Krishnan, Gautham Karthik, Joju George, Abhirami, Nassar, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Siddharth. Meanwhile, Bollywood actors Ali Fazal and Sanya Malhotra have been filming their parts for the movie in Delhi. Pankaj Tripathi is also expected to join the shoot soon, with filming anticipated to extend until May 11.
Haasan to play triple role in 'Thug Life': Report
Reports suggest that Haasan is set to portray three distinct roles in Thug Life—a period gangster drama spanning three different eras. A leaked image from the set featuring Haasan, Simbu, Abhirami, and Nassar has been circulating on social media. Some scenes were reportedly filmed at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir in Aerocity Delhi. The Delhi leg of Thug Life will be followed by subsequent schedules planned for Chennai.
