The Thudarum trailer, which features Mohanlal as a taxi driver who is fiercely attached to his Ambassador car, is sure to bring back the nostalgia of classic Mohanlal-Shobana films.

Plot is inspired by co-writer KR Sunil's real-life encounter
Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the film's screenplay has been co-written by him and KR Sunil. Its plot is loosely inspired by a real-life encounter Sunil, a documentary photographer and writer, had on one of his trips.
Mohanlal plays Shanmugham in the film, while Shobana plays Lalitha. The ensemble cast also includes Farhaan Faasil, Raju, Binu Pappu, Irshad Ali, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Thomas Mathew, Krishna Praba, Prakash Varma, and Aravind.

'Thudarum' release date yet to be announced
The release date for Thudarum is still awaited. However, it is likely to hit the screens after the release of Mohanlal's another film L2: Empuraan on Thursday.
The movie is the second part of the Lucifer franchise and also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in an important role.
Shaji Kumar handles the cinematography for Thudarum, while Jakes Bejoy composes the music.
