'Threats have come earlier also': Salman's bodyguard Shera's shocking claim
Shera, the long-time bodyguard of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, recently spoke about the shocking firing incident that occurred outside the actor's residence in April. In an exclusive conversation with Zoom, Shera revealed that while they have received threats in the past, this incident was particularly serious and unexpected. He also emphasized that they are now always on high alert.
'Threats have come earlier also but...'
When asked about his reaction to the firing outside Khan's residence, Shera said, "Threats aise pehle bhi aate the, par is baar thodi zyada serious hui this because ye achanak tha and serious to tha hi... isiliye ab hamesha attentive rehte hain." This translates to "Threats have come earlier also but this time it was a bit more serious because this caught us off guard, without a warning and have prepared us to stay attentive always."
Firing outside Khan's residence: What happened?
On April 14, two men on a motorcycle opened fire outside Khan's Bandra residence. The suspects, identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, were later apprehended from Gujarat. Anuj Thapan (32), another individual involved in the case, was arrested on April 26 from Punjab. However, he was found dead on May 1 inside the washroom of the crime branch's police lock-up, allegedly by suicide.
MCOCA invoked against accused in firing case
Following the incident, the Mumbai Police invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) against all those arrested in the case. Mumbai Crime Branch officials have named gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi as wanted accused. Anmol had claimed responsibility for the attack on Khan's residence in a Facebook post a few hours after the incident.
