'Fir nepotism nepotism karoge': Sonakshi Sinha denies political ambitions
Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha, who is currently enjoying the success of her latest web series Heermandi: The Diamond Bazaar, has publicly dismissed any intentions of entering politics. Her role as Fareedan in the series has earned her significant praise, further solidifying her status as a versatile performer. Despite being the daughter of film and political figure Shatrughan Sinha, she firmly denied political ambitions during an interview, joking, "No, fir vahan bhi tum nepotism nepotism karoge."
'I don't think I have the aptitude for it'
In a conversation with Raj Shamani, Sinha clarified her stance by highlighting the differences in personality between her and her father. She described herself as more introverted, lacking the traits she believes are necessary for a successful political career. "All jokes aside, I don't think I would because I've seen my dad do it. I don't think I have the aptitude for it. My dad is a very people's person. I am a very private person," Sinha explained.
Sinha detailed qualities needed for political success
Sinha went on to discuss the qualities she believes are essential for a political career, emphasizing approachability and transparency as key factors. She admitted that she is "completely truly open" only with a select few and does not see herself addressing public issues personally. "So, no point, no, getting into something just for the sake of it," she concluded. Her acclaimed performance in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar can be streamed on Netflix.
