Not Akshay, this Hollywood-actor was approached to be 2.0's villain
Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar-starrer 2.0 is one of the most-awaited films of the year. The sci-fi action thriller has already garnered huge attention through its trailer and cine buffs are extremely excited about it. Akshay Kumar's supervillain look is eye-catching. However, do you know that director S Shankar initially approached Hollywood's Arnold Schwarzenegger for Akshay's role? Imagine the Terminator against Thalaiva.
Things didn't work out due to contractual issues
Last week, while addressing a press conference, the director said that he had initially chosen Schwarzenegger for the antagonist's role in his movie. Shankar added that even the dates were assigned but things didn't work out as the contracts of Hollywood and Bollywood are contradictory. He then decided to cast an actor from the Indian film industry, and the rest is history.
How would Schwarzenegger look as 2.0's villain? Something like Terminator?
While Schwarzenegger may not be doing the film, we can't help but wonder how would he look as the antagonist. The image which comes to mind is his Terminator avatar, the not-so-talkative cyborg, who always had a specific destructive mission for his existence. However, Schwarzenegger's straight face may not have enthralled the audience as much as Akshay's wicked one might.
Akshay said he should pay the filmmakers and not vice-versa
Meanwhile, the current antagonist of the film seemed to have had a great experience while working for the movie. The actor said he should have paid the money to the filmmakers, instead of them paying him. Akshay was completely amazed by the working style of the film's international team. He added that there was so much to learn from Shankar.
