All to know before 'The Umbrella Academy' drops final season
Netflix's popular series, The Umbrella Academy, is in preparation for its fourth and final season. The show, known for its blend of action, drama, and unique humor, has built a loyal fanbase that has followed the Hargreeves siblings through three apocalypses and numerous shocking reveals. The third season ended with the Umbrellas and some Sparrow Academy members surviving the third apocalypse and landing in a new timeline. Before S04 hits, these are some points to remember.
First, know who all survived Reginald's evil plan in S03
We found in S03 that Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore), the father of the Umbrellas and Sparrows, manipulated them for his gain with the intention to reset the timeline. However, his plan was thwarted by the strong bond among his adopted children. Only two members of the Sparrows survived the apocalypse: Ben (Justin H Min) and Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez) alongside all six Umbrellas. They took refuge in Hotel Oblivion, escaping the end of the world caused by the Kugelblitz.
Both Luther and Klaus died, but came back
Reginald killed Luther before the apocalypse but he returned in the new timeline. Reginald needed seven individuals to travel to Hotel Oblivion and ring seven bells guarded by a Guardian. When Luther disagreed with his plan, Reginald murdered him and blamed it on the Guardian. Meanwhile, Klaus discovered his power of resurrection in Season 3 after being accidentally killed by Stan. This came in handy when Reginald betrayed him later and Klaus had to die to resurrect in Hotel Oblivion.
What is Allison playing at?
Allison made a mysterious deal with Reginald during Luther's wedding. We never got to see the specifics of Allison's deal were never disclosed, but she was spared when Reginald used the others to power his timeline machine. In the new timeline, Allison was reunited with her daughter Claire and her husband from the 1960s, Ray. Although she got what she wanted, Allison betrayed her siblings and sided with their evil father in Season 3. Will she regain their trust?
Now, the Hargreeves siblings and Lila are powerless
The siblings and Lila might have survived the apocalypse and landed in a new timeline but there's a catch. They are now powerless and both Reginald and his wife Abigail are alive. What's more, Reginald is the most powerful person in this self-crafted timeline. The fourth season of The Umbrella Academy will see the Hargreeves and Lila navigating lots of problems while trying to maintain harmony amongst each other.
