Ram Pothineni's 'The Warriorr' to release on July 14
The Warriorr finally has a release date! The Tamil-Telugu bilingual action drama, starring Ram Pothineni, will hit the theaters on July 14. For now, The Warriorr faces no box office competition from any major film. It is releasing almost a month after Ramarao on Duty, headlined by Telugu star Ravi Teja. N Lingusamy is at the helm of the movie, which co-stars Krithi Shetty.
Why does this story matter?
Though Pothineni's previous film, Red, received mixed reviews from critics, it was loved by viewers. His film prior to that, iSmart Shankar, was a hit too. And, that's because the actor's fans love him in action films. Also, promotional videos and photos of The Warriorr indicate it will also be high on action. Hence, there's a high chance of this film doing well too.
How was the announcement done?
Pothineni announced the release date alongside sharing a new poster. It featured him sitting on a box in a railway station. Donning a brown casual shirt and gray torn jeans, Satya IPS (Pothineni) is seen looking at something far away. Blood dripping from his bandaged right hand, in which he was holding a gun, gave us a feeling that Satya is a no-nonsense cop.

Meet the cast and crew of 'The Warriorr'
Apart from Shetty as Whistle Mahalakshmi and Pothineni, The Warriorr also stars Aadhi Pinisetty as Guru, the main antagonist. Devi Sri Prasad is its music director, while Sujith Vaassudev will crank the camera. Touted to be a cop drama, The Warriorr is bankrolled by Srinivasa Chitturi. Apart from this, Pothineni has another pan-Indian project, to be directed by filmmaker Boyapati Sreenu, in the making.
Other Telugu movies to look out for
Separately, there are many interesting Telugu films lined up for release in 2022. The year has already seen four big Tollywood movies hitting the theaters: Radhe Shyam, Bheemla Nayak, Khiladi, and RRR. In the upcoming months, Varun Tej's Ghani, Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal's Acharya, and Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh's Sarkaru Vaari Paata will release on April 8, April 29, and May 12, respectively.
