Why did she choose this role? She revealed
When asked why she chose the role, the actor said, "As an actor I always choose the roles that are unconventional and challenging as well. That is precisely what attracted me to my role in The Shameless." "Playing a part that is vastly different from who I am. Both challenging and immensely gratifying. That was one of the things that forced me to take up this part and bringing it alive on screen."
Dey is now seeking more work
Dey added, "Validation is something I do not look for," the actress revealed, adding, "If I am part of such good films, I am already validated." "But with this film, going on such a big platform, I am hoping for more good work to come my way, be it commercial, critical or webseries. I am a greedy actor." Her character, Durva "brings shades of gray to the narrative" and "forces the audience face the conflict."
