With TOH and 2.0 releasing in November, Bollywood smashing year-end-business
Long awaited Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer "2.0" will now release on November 29. While Rajinikanth will reprise the role of Dr. Vaseegaran/Chitti, Akshay is the new addition to the franchise, who will play the antagonist, Dr. Richard. The actor duo will share screen space for the first time. "2.0", directed by Shankar, is the sequel to his "Enthiran" (2010) that also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Delay in '2.0' release has been troubling fans for long
This big-ticket release was earlier supposed to release in Jan'18, and then it was rumored the date has been pushed to August. But finally, it is November when cine-buffs will see Rajinikanth and Akshay battling it out. The biggest reason for the delay was the VFX in 2.0. Being a VFX-heavy movie, Shankar didn't want to release the film until he was satisfied.
November is all about big-releases; Bollywood will surely mint money
"2.0" isn't the only awaited movie releasing in November. Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, and Fatima Sana Sheikh starrer "Thugs Of Hindostan" will release on November 7. Superstars Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan will share screen-space for the first time in the Vijay Krishna Acharya directorial. Considering the buzz of both movies, November may just turn out to be the year's best Bollywood-month.
Akshay-Rajini union expected to work wonders across the country
Apart from "2.0" being one of the most-awaited movies in the country, the Akshay-Rajini pair is expected to bring a huge mass of fans into theaters. The "Khiladi" actor, being a megastar in North India will definitely attract a large audience to the multiplexes, whereas, Thalaiva's reach has no bounds. The duo working in the typical "hero-villain" roles is something huge for film buffs.
