Kareena's 'The Buckingham Murders' will release in dual versions
Kareena Kapoor Khan's upcoming film The Buckingham Murders will be released in both Hinglish and dubbed Hindi versions, reported Bollywood Hungama. The decision was made to cater to a wider audience, including those who may not be comfortable with English dialogues or accented Hindi. The film is set in Buckingham, England, and the original Hinglish version features local actors speaking in English and Indian-origin actors speaking Hindi with an accent.
'Dubbed Hindi version for desi audience'
A source told Bollywood Hungama, "There is a certain audience which might not be comfortable with a lot of English dialogues or accented Hindi. For them, the makers have decided to release a dubbed Hindi version." "All the English dialogues and accented Hindi lines, in this version, have been dubbed in such a way that the desi audience would be able to decipher the goings-on."
'The Buckingham Murders' to release on September 13
The Buckingham Murders is set to release in cinemas on September 13. The film is directed by Hansal Mehta and written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker. It is a Mahana Films and TBM Films production, presented by Balaji Telefilms and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and first-time producer Kapoor Khan.
The film features Kapoor Khan as a detective
In The Buckingham Murders, Kapoor Khan's character is inspired by Kate Winslet's leading role in HBO's 2021 Emmy Award-winning show Mare of Easttown. The film explores the character of Kapoor Khan, a detective and a working mother, investigating a case. Apart from her, it features Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. It premiered to a standing ovation at the BFI London Film Festival earlier this year.
