Kareena Kapoor Khan's latest film, The Buckingham Murders, has shown a steady increase in its box office performance over the first weekend. The movie started with a modest collection of ₹1.15 crore on Friday but gained momentum on Saturday and Sunday, earning ₹1.95 crore and ₹2.2 crore respectively. By the end of the weekend, the total domestic collection stood at ₹5.3 crore.

Despite what may seem like low box office numbers, The Buckingham Murders's earnings are impressive considering its limited screen release in India. The film is currently playing on just 1,334 screens across the country. On Sunday, it registered an 18.8% occupancy rate for Hindi shows with the highest footfall of over 28% during evening screenings.

The Buckingham Murders had its world premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival on October 14, 2023. The film tells the story of a British-Indian detective, played by Kapoor Khan, who is dealing with personal loss while investigating a child's murder in Buckinghamshire. This project also marks Kapoor Khan's debut as a producer alongside Ektaa Kapoor.
